| The American Society
of Head and Neck Radiology (ASHNR) awarded its 2011 Gold Medal
to Dr. Charles J. Schatz on September 9 during the 45th Annual
Meeting. Dr. Schatz is a Past President of the Los Angeles Radiological Society. During his presidential term he established the keynote lecture presented in honor of Isaac Sanders at each Midwinter Conference. It has been announced that Dr. Schatz will present the 2012 Keynote address entitled, "Cosmesis: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" Thank you Dr. Schatz for your continued dedication the Los Angeles Radiological Society and to organized radiology in general. |
Dr. Chin, Past
President of LARS, CRSand currently a member of the ACR Council
Steering Committee is ACR's appointee to the ARRT Board
effective August 1, 2010.
Congratulations Dr. Chin and thank you for your continued service to the discipline of radiology. |

FACR Receives 2011 ACR Gold Medal |

| It has been
announced by W. Max Cloud, MD, Chairman of the ACR Committee on
Awards and Honors that Dr. Lawrence W. Bassett will be receiving
the 2011 Gold Medal on May 15, 2011 at the ACR Annual Meeting
and Chapter Leadership Conference.
Dr. Bassett serves on the planning committee each year for LARS Summer Seminar in Breast Imaging. Thank you Dr. Bassett for your continued dedication to organized radiology. |

President of LARS, was approved in October to receive the ACR
Fellowship at the 2011 Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership

Isaac Sanders, MD, FACR Receives 2010 ACR Gold Medal |

In 1993,
LARS
inaugurated the annual Isaac Sanders Honorary Lecture as a
portion of the Midwinter Radiology Conference.
The honorary lecture was established as recognition of Dr.
Sanders' service to LARS and organized radiology. In 2010 the ACR recognized Dr. Sanders for distinguished and extraordinary service to the discipline of radiology by awarding the Gold Medal. Click to review Dr. Sanders' bio and a list of honorary lecturers. |
