Managing Radiologist
Rely is a radiology group, providing x-ray and ultrasound
diagnostic reports to customers in the long-term care
industry. Rely is contracted with over 30 radiologists that
read x-ray and ultrasound films remotely on a 24-hour per
day basis. Today, Rely’s major customers include Diagnostic
Laboratories and Mobilex USA, both of which are affiliated
companies. Diagnostic Laboratories and Mobilex USA both
provide portable x-ray services to the long-term care
industry, which includes nursing homes, jails and assisted
living facilities. Rely is in the process of expanding its
customer base into the imaging center market.
Position:
We are seeking a full-time, or near full-time, radiologist
to work on-site at the Company’s headquarters in Burbank,
CA. The radiologist read x-ray and ultrasound exams, help
in managing of customer inquiry responses, and contribute to
the day-to-day operations of Rely, including conducting peer
reviews and reviewing quality measures. The radiologist will
work with Rely’s Medical Director, General Manager and Chief
Operating Officer. Key to the radiologist responsibilities
will be to help the team build the imaging center business
that is under development, but will work with all parts of
Rely’s business.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide timely and accurate interpretations of x-ray and ultrasound
exams in emergency and routine cases
- Provide peer reviews for other Rely teleradiologists’ exams

JOB SUMMARY: At the administrative
direction of the Director of Operations and Site Manager and
the clinical direction of the Medical Director and
Radiologist perform ultrasound examinations which include
operation of real-time and portable equipment as well as
multiple imaging modalities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Review medical record for patient history and supporting
clinical data. Explain procedure to patient; provide patient
support and comfort. Select equipment and imaging
modalities, position and prep, to facilitate optimum
diagnostic studies.
•Operate ultrasonography equipment to perform examination.
Display broad knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy,
pathology and/or physiological data to obtain optimal

results.
•Select and record preliminary study results; make pertinent

•Consult with Radiologist about unusual scans and need for
re-scanning; assist with interpretation.

•Maintain inventory level of supplies. Maintain orderliness
of ultrasound laboratory.
•Participate in continuing education as required by ARDMS.
•Participate in special projects, such as collection and
organization of data, as requested by Medical Director.
•Perform assigned duties associated with interventional
procedures/OSHA requirements.
•May
perform reception/clerk functions for the ultrasound
patients.
