Convention Center 8th Annual Leopold Honorary Lecture The Leopold Honorary Lecture was inaugurated during the 2003 Conference in recognition of Dr. George R. Leopold's life-long contributions to the field of Ultrasound, and to recognize his role in the organization and development of the Spring Diagnostic Ultrasound Conference, first held in 1976. This year LARS recognizes the contributions of Dr. Ruth B. Goldstein to ultrasound by inviting her to present the 8th Annual Leopold Lecture entitled, "Fetal CNS in 2010". The Leopold Lecture is scheduled at 9:15am during the Sunday morning plenary Session Concurrent Sessions Breast Ultrasound Physician CME The Los Angeles Radiology Society (LARS) is accredited by the Institute for Medical Quality / California Medical Association (IMQ/CMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. LARS takes responsibility for the content, quality, and scientific integrity of the CMA activity. LARS designates this educational activity for a maximum of 12 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits(TM). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This credit may also be applied to the CMA Certification for Continuing Medical Education. Technologist CE ARDMS accepts Physician Category 1 CME. LARS has designated this activity for a maximum of 12 Category 1 CME. LARS has applied to the ASRT for 12 Category A, Technologist Continuing Education Units. Additional CME InformationThe 35th Annual Spring Diagnostic Ultrasound Conference has been planned in accordance with the ACCME Essential Areas and Elements and Accreditation Policies. Further, this activity is in compliance with the California Legislature and ACCME definitions of CME Content, and California Assembly Bill 1195 which requires CME activities with patient care components to include curriculum in the subjects of cultural and linguistic competency. LARS accepts responsibility for validating the clinical content of this CME activity. LARS adheres to the ACCME Standards regarding industry support of continuing medical education. Disclosure of faculty and commercial support relationships, if any, will be posted on our website and will be made known at the activity.
LARS is not holding a block of rooms for the Spring Conference, however, four of Pasadena’s major hotels are located within easy walking distance of the Convention Center. Contact information for each of the hotels is listed here in order of proximity to the Center.

www.courtyardpasadena.com REGISTRATION INFORMATIONOn-site Registration at the Pasadena Convention Center will be available on April 24 & 25, 7:00am – 4:30pm but will be assessed an additional onsite registration fee of $25 Registration Confirmation An acknowledgement will be emailed to confirm receipt of your registration form and tuition. Review this confirmation upon receipt for notice of program changes or other pertinent information. Contact LARS if you have not received confirmation within 72 hours of submitting your registration. Reduced Tuition for Members Radiologists and technologists may join LARS and receive reduced tuition. Download an application from LARS website – www.larad.org – or contact LARS office for a membership application. Annual dues are $225 for radiologists and $35 for technologists and are based on the calendar year. Dues are not refundable. Already a member? Membership dues must be current for reduced tuition to apply. Cancellation & Registration Transfer Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Cancellations by email or fax must be made by 5:00pm (PST), April 16 with “MW Cancellation” noted in the subject line. Mailed cancellations must be postmarked on or before April 16. Registration fee, less a $30 handling fee, will be refunded after the conference. Cancellations made AFTER these deadlines are not eligible for refunds. Registration can be transferred if requested by the original registrant, in writing, prior to 9:00am, Monday, April 19. Registration Hours & Conference Materials The conference registration desk will be open Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am to 5:00pm. Please arrive early Saturday morning to allow time to pick up conference materials at the Registration Desk. Coffee and tea will be available in the Exhibition Hall from 8:00-8:30am and during scheduled morning and afternoon break periods. Lunch is not included in the conference registration fee. One hour and 15 minute lunch breaks are scheduled to allow delegates time to explore Pasadena’s many restaurant options. Paseo Colorado, across Green Street from the Center, offers 16 restaurants plus Gelson’s Market; Historic Old Pasadena, just one block west of the Center, boasts more than 100 restaurants; the Pasadena Playhouse District, just one block to the east, offers 40+ restaurants from which to choose. Parking is available at the Pasadena Convention Center/Sheraton Garage – enter via Marengo Avenue to the west or Euclid Avenue to the east between Green and Cordova Streets. Parking is $9 per day (subject to change). Be prepared to pre-pay as you enter the garage. Five alternate parking garages are available within a one-block radius of the Center. Conference Attire – Meeting Room Temperature Meeting room temperatures vary greatly within each meeting room. For your comfort bring a sweater or jacket to be prepared for fluctuations and cold-spots. Dress for the meeting is business casual.
