Cancellation Policy

  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing to LARS

  • Cancellations postmarked on or before Tuesday, March 20
    will be refunded minus a $15.00 handling fee.  Refunds will be issued after the meeting. 

  • Cancellations made by email after 5pm Tuesday, March 20 are not eligible for a refund.

Learning Objectives

Fetal CNS:

following this lecture the participant will be able to -

  • Outline which parts of the fetal CNS screen, which when abnormal allows detection of the major CNS abnormalities, including the ventricular atrium, cistern magna, and cavum septum pellucidum.
  • Properly evaluate fetal ventriculomegaly and hydrocephalus.
  • Assess for agenesis of the corpus callosum in the fetal brain and its associated syndromes.

Sonography of Twins:

following this lecture the participant will be able to -

  • Outline the biology of twin embryo formation, including dichorionic diamniotic, monochorionic diamniotic and monochorionic monoamniotic twins as well as how to assess this sonographically.
  • Discuss the risks involved in a monochorionic pregnancy and the sonographic and Doppler features which indicate risk to the gestation including twin-twin transfusion syndrome.
  • List what treatment options are available to clinicians when abnormalities of twin gestation, such as twin twin transfusion, are diagnosed.

The Los Angeles Radiological Society (LARS) is accredited by the Institute for Medical Quality/California Medical Association (IMQ/CMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  LARS takes responsibility for the content, quality and scientific integrity of this CME Activity.

LARS designates this live activity for a maximum of 2 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

CMA Certification - This credit may also be applied to the CMA Certification in Continuing Medical Education.

Technologists:  This activity is approved for a maximum of 2 Category A credits by the ASRT. (1 credit per lecture)  To earn the maximum credit, participants must attend the entire activity as designed. 
Please note that content requirements for the State of California CRT may differ from those of the ASRT or the ARDMS.

Participants will receive a Physicians' Certificate of Credit or a Technologists' Certificate of Attendance as they depart the program.
