MEMBERSHIP CLASSIFICATIONS

The Society offers the following categories of membership:

LARS/SCROS Active Members:
$275 Annually | Jan. 1-Dec. 31

Certified in Radiology or one of its recognized branches by the American Board of Radiology, the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. These members have the right to vote, to be appointed to committees, and to hold office in the Society.

LARS/SCROS Associate Members:
$200 Annually

Engaged in the full-time practice of radiology / radiation oncology radiological physics, but not board certified. These members have the right to vote and be appointed to committees, but cannot hold office in the Society.

Other Categories:

LARS/SCROS Members in Physics:

$100 Annually

A physicist who has been certified by the American Board of Radiology. These members have the right to vote and be appointed to committees, but cannot hold office in LARS. However, these members may hold office in SCROS. Associate status in Physics is also available.

LARS/SCROS Members in Training:

Dues waived during Residency Program

Involved in a Residency or Fellowship in Radiology, Radiation Oncology or a recognized branch of Radiology which has been approved by the Council on Medical Education or the American Osteopathy Association of the American Medical Association. These members have the right to vote and be appointed to committees, but cannot hold office in the Society.  There is no charge for membership during a training program.

 

SCROS Affiliated Members:

$200 Annually

Physicians otherwise eligible for membership in SCROS (Southern California Radiation Oncology Society) who reside outside of the greater Los Angeles County area and who join for purposes of representation by the California Radiation Oncology Society. These members do not have the right to vote, be appointed to committees, or hold office in the Society. These members, however, may be appointed to a committee or hold office in SCROS. SCROS affiliated members do not receive discounts on LARS conference registration.

Technologist Members:

$50 Annually

Technologists can join LARS and receive savings at all LARS conferences.

 

Corporate Members:

Corporate membership opportunities exist. For more information, contact the LARS Office.

Members of Special Categories:

The Society offers Retired membership status to those members who have retired from the practice of radiology or radiation oncology and maintained membership for five+ years prior to requesting retired status.
